Demi Chef de Partie

Department: Kitchen

Salary/Hourly rate: £7.00 per hour


We are currently recruiting a Demi Chef de Partie for our three star Glasgow Pond Hotel with 137 bedrooms, brasserie & bar, and 4 conference & banqueting rooms

The role will involve:
Preparing, cooking and presenting dishes within your speciality
Responsibility for completing your mis en place
Effectively monitoring portion and waste control to maintain profit margins
General running of section
Knowledge of HACCAP
To comply with all Portland Hotels Ltd Policies and Procedures
To comply with all Statutory Legal Regulations i.e. Food Hygiene, Health & Safety
Maintain high standards of working practices in terms of personal appearance and working methods
Liaising with the Head Chef and Sous Chef to develop and implement new dishes and menus where appropriate
To be flexible and willing to help the kitchen department during busy periods


Breakfast Service Assistant - Full Time

We are currently recruiting for a Food & Beverage Assistant to focus on breakfast service at out three star Glasgow Pond Hotel with 137 bedrooms, brasserie, bar and 4 conference & banqueting rooms

We are looking to recruit enthusiastic team players who enjoy the buzz of a busy morning operation. Working breakfast shifts, you will be the type of person who has a 'spring in their step' in the mornings, you'll be motivated to ensure that often the last meal with us is a great experience, which sets our guests up for the day and creates a positive lasting impression. With a sense or urgency, ensuring a high standard of customer service is offered consistently, you'll be able to keep calm, even when under pressure and ensure that all our guests receive a warm welcome, a smile and attentive service

Responsibilities include; serving guests, clearing tables, preparing the restaurant and bar for service, stocking the cold buffet selection, communicating with the Chef regarding the hot buffet section and ensuring billing procedures and cashing up procedures are complied with at all times in line with company standards. General cleaning of the F & B areas, is also required in this role. You will report to the Food & Beverage Services Manager and make an important contribution to the department. Due to the fast paced environment, you will be the type of person who enjoys a challenge and is able to deal with a variety of tasks at once, while ensuring a high standard of customer care is offered consistently


Commis Chef

The ideal candidate will have a passion for preparing great food and enjoy working in a Kitchen environment. Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure is essential

The role will involve assisting with preparation and cooking within various sections of the Kitchen
