Pond Hotel GlasgowThere is so much to see and do in and around this wonderful vibrant city that you’ll be spoilt for choice. Most of the outdoor active pursuits are on the outskirts, but all easily accessible, including world class golf in Ayrshire -and super watersports and walking of all grades in Loch Lomond and the Trossachs national park – and the Campsie Fells, all within easy reach. Here are some highlights:-

Xscape – at Braehead Shopping Centre
    www.xscape.co.uk
The ultimate new entertainment destination offering a unique combination of extreme sports and leisure activities for all ages.

    SeaForce
    www.seaforce.co.uk
Seaforce offer powerboat rides, training and safetyboat cover on the clyde. With trips ranging from the half hour Clyde Ride, the only high-speed city-centre boat ride in world, to the four to five hour Clyde Estuary Tour with a stop at Kilcreggan for lunch, this wonderful experience is both unique and customisable.

One of the best things to do in Glasgow!

    The Science Centre
    www.glasgowsciencecentre.org
Just across the river from SeaForce is the science centre, with everything from lasers to cockroaches. It's a great learning experience for kids and adults and also features the IMAX, a huge 3D cinema.

    The Tall Ship
    www.thetallship.com
The Glenlee is one of the last surviving clyde-built steel hulled sailing ships in the world. She is situated at Glasgow Harbour on the Clyde and offers a range of activities to suit almost everybody. From parties to conferences, from exhibitions to weddings, the Tall Ship does it all.

    Museum of Transport
    www.glasgowmuseums.com
With a myriad of classic cars, bikes, old trams, steam trains, tube trains, aeroplanes, model ships and a period reconstructed street and cinema, the Transport Museum is one of Glasgows biggest attractions. And it's free to all.

    Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum
    www.glasgowmuseums.com
Kelvingrove museum is host to many major world exhibitions and has one of the most diverse collections of themes in the World. It is currently closed for refurbishment, but many of the artefacts belonging to the museum are viewable at other Glasgow museums.

    Anatomy museum
    www.hunterian.gla.ac.uk
The Anatomy Museum at Glasgow University is an unique experience to say the least. It is certainly not for the weak of stomach or faint hearted. With specimens of almost every human organ from almost every age it is a one of a kind, irreplaceable collection. Of all the things to do in Glasgow, this is possibly the most odd.

    Zoology museum
    www.hunterian.gla.ac.uk
The Zoology Museum, also at Glasgow University presents to us the diversity of life on our planet and how important this is. There are preserved specimens and a few live ones too. Definitely worth a look if you've an interest in conservation or animals.
